Treatment Services

There are many interventions that have been demonstrated to improve the functioning and quality of life for neurodiverse individuals.  At the Neurodiversity Clinic we offer various forms of mental health therapy, along with coaching services.

Mental Health Therapy

Members of the neurodiverse community often experience symptoms associated with mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. Mental health therapy has been shown to be effective in helping individuals manage these symptoms, reduce their impact, and improve overall well-being.

Therapy can be provided by a range of qualified professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and counselors. At The Neurodiversity Clinic, our therapy team includes licensed psychologists, licensed professional counselors, provisionally licensed professionals, and practicum students, all of whom are trained to support neurodiverse individuals.

Services begin with an initial consultation to clarify treatment goals and determine whether our clinic is the right fit. If therapy services are a good match, we will schedule ongoing sessions. Sessions are typically held weekly or biweekly during our business hours (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).

Commonly accepted insurance providers:  BCBS, United Healthcare, Aetna, Medicare, Tricare

Executive Function Coaching

Executive functions are the basic skills of self-management that allow us to set goals and achieve them. They include such areas as managing our emotions, taking initiative, staying focused, being organized, planning and prioritizing, and recognizing when we’re off track and figuring out how to recover.  Variability in the development and effective use of executive function skills is common among members of the neurodivergent community.

Process

Executive function coaches work with individuals, and their support system, to establish self-management skills that can be used to help organize, plan, prioritize, manage time, maintain focus, self-assess, and study/work efficiently.  Executive function coaching has been shown to be effective in assisting those with ADHD, ASD and other challenges that can come with being neurodivergent.
