At the Neurodiversity Clinic we offer a wide range of assessment services for adults. We offer private pay options and we participate with most major health insurance companies.

You will be prompted to provide us with basic information that includes insurance (if applicable) along with the names and contact data for people who will be providing information for the assessment, if required.
Adult Assessment Services
- Adult ADHD Assessment
It is estimated that 2-3 percent of adults have ADHD.
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that begins in childhood and involves psychological and behavioral features that can impact all aspects of life, including school, work, and relationships. It is characterized by persistent symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and/or impulsivity.
The assessment of ADHD in adults involves the collection of information from the person being assessed and from people who know the person well, both now and as a child.
Much of the information for an assessment is gathered using symptom- and behavioral-rating forms that can be completed by you, and others, before you are seen for an appointment with the psychologist.
Payment
We accept most commercial insurance plans. The insurance companies set the fee schedule for services they cover.
If you prefer to pay privately, or if you do not have insurance, the cost of the standard assessment is $350 and is paid at the time the appointment is booked. If additional cognitive, intelligence or academic testing is required, there will be an additional cost that is based on what is required but ranges from $300 to $700.
Appointment
The appointment, which usually takes about an hour, is used to follow up on responses from the completed forms and to gather additional information about personal history and any other potential causes of the presenting difficulties, including other mental health and medical conditions.
Diagnostic Report
After the assessment is completed, a written report will be provided that will summarize all relevant information and will include appropriate diagnoses and treatment recommendations.
- ADHD and Autism Assessment
It is not uncommon for a neurodivergent person to meet the established diagnostic criteria for both ADHD and Autism. Establishing the presence of all relevant diagnoses increases the likelihood that a person with have access to all appropriate treatments and accommodations.

- Autism Assessment
The assessment of autism in adults can be complicated by the subtleness with which some of the features are manifested and by the skills that are acquired to hide many of the challenges from others.
Receiving an accurate diagnosis for an adult can be validating and can provide a framework for naming and understanding the uniqueness of one's life experiences.

If additional cognitive, intelligence or academic testing is required, there will be an additional cost that is based on what is required but ranges from $300 to $700.

- Diagnostic Clarification Assessment
When an assessment is required and there are no specific referral questions, a more broad and comprehensive assessment may be required to determine the best path forward. The specific time required and assessment techniques used will be determined by the presenting challenges and the sources of information available.

If you prefer to pay privately, or if you do not have insurance, the cost of the standard diagnostic assessment is $500 and is paid at the time the appointment is booked. If additional cognitive, intelligence or academic testing is required, there will be an additional cost that is based on what is required but ranges from $300 to $700.

The initial appointment usually takes about an hour, is used to gather information about personal history and potential contributing factors to the presenting difficulties. Additional appointment may be required.
Diagnostic Report
After the assessment is completed, a written report will be provided that will summarize all relevant information and will include appropriate diagnoses and treatment recommendations.
- Neuropsychological Assessment
A neuropsychological assessment includes all of the elements included in a diagnostic clarification assessment as well as extensive assessment of cognitive functioning. A neuropsychological assessment is typically required in situations where there is concern about a person’s cognitive abilities after an accident or illness that has impacted the person's brain functioning.

If you prefer to pay privately, or if you do not have insurance, the cost of the standard assessment is $900 and is paid at the time the appointment is booked.

The initial appointment usually takes about an hour, is used to gather information about personal history and potential contributing factors to the presenting difficulties. Other appointments are scheduled as required to complete the cognitive testing.

After the assessment is completed, a written report will be provided that will summarize all relevant information and will include appropriate diagnoses and treatment recommendations.
