Job Title: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist to join our team. As an ABA Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing behavior intervention services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of ABA principles, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with special needs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Individualized Assessment:
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs and challenges of individuals with ASD or developmental disabilities.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans based on ABA principles.
  2. Behavior Intervention:
    • Implement ABA strategies to address behavior challenges and teach new skills in various settings, such as home, school, or community.
    • Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
  3. Skill Development:
    • Work directly with clients to teach and reinforce adaptive skills, communication, social skills, and other targeted behaviors.
    • Collaborate with families and caregivers to generalize skills across different environments.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, caregivers, and other members of the treatment team.
    • Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and coordinate intervention strategies.
  5. Professional Development:
    • Stay abreast of the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in ABA therapy.
    • Pursue ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or a related field. Master's degree in ABA or related field preferred.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or pursuing BCBA certification.
  • Experience working with individuals with ASD or developmental disabilities.
  • Solid understanding of ABA principles and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
