Bio

Avery Biga is a fourth-year PsyD student in Clinical Psychology at Kansas City University, with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and several years of experience in providing therapy and conducting psychological assessments. Her clinical training has included work with active-duty service members, individuals with serious and persistent mental illness and complex medical conditions in an inpatient state hospital, and individuals across the lifespan navigating chronic illness. Her experience includes assessment and therapy related to ADHD and autism, chronic illness, chronic pain, dementia, rehabilitation, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.

Her clinical approach integrates evidence-based cognitive-behavioral and humanistic strategies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing, with treatment tailored to each individual’s needs, goals, and values. She is passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals and helping clients better understand the connection between psychological and physical well-being.  She is currently completing her practicum experience at The Neurodiversity Clinic under the supervision of Dr. Tricia Hager.

Avery is accepting new therapy patients at this time.  A sliding scale fee is available.
